Will Ferrell rules out Elf 2

December 20, 2013 by admin

Despite starring in Anchorman 2: The Legend continues, as well as planning to link up once more with John C. Reilly for a follow-up to Step Brothers, it seems there’s one Will Ferrell sequel we can scratch off our Christmas lists, with Ferrell stating that Elf 2 is “absolutely not” happening.

“I just thin it would look slightly pathetic if I tried to squeeze back in the elf tights,” said Ferrell, who was appearing on What Watch Happens Live with Anchorman 2 co-stars Steve Carell and James Marsden. “Buddy the middle-aged elf.”

Released in 2003, Elf was directed by Jon Favreau and gave Ferrell his first box office hit as the lead, pulling in $225 million from a budget of just $33 million.
