Will Smith to star in City That Sailed

November 16, 2013 by admin

Deadline has reported that Will Smith (Men in Black, I Am Legend) and Shawn Levy (Night at the Museum) are getting together for a fantasy film titled City That Sailed.

The script is being written by Audrey Wells (The Game Plan, Under The Tuscan Sun) and the film will tell the story of a father in the city of New York whose love for his estranged daughter living overseas is so strong that it causes the island of Manhattan to break free from New York City and float across the Atlantic towards her.

This seems to be a safe bet for Will Smith whose career has taken a major dive in recent years, with his most recent movie After Earth (which also starred Jaden Smith) disappointing at the box office. And if Willow Smith isn’t cast in this I’ll be surprised.
