World of Tanks’ biggest update now live and brings gifts for all tank commanders

September 4, 2025 by Andrew Newton

Update 2.0 for World of Tanks is now up and running, bringing 6 new Tier XI tanks, a redesigned Hangar and UI, a story-driven PvE mode, and so much more. Besides hangers full of new content, the game’s biggest and most ambitious update to date will also provide epic gifts to tank commanders simply by logging in. See more of update 2.0 in the new trailer below…

Running until mid-October, there’s a wealth of rewards for all tank commanders for logging in. For Veteran Commanders, those who joined before this latest update, there is the opportunity to claim one full Tech Tree branch (Tier VI–X) and a massive resource pack with 2,500 Gold, 15,000 Bonds, 10 million Credits, 60 days of Premium Account, and more. For the recruits who have only just joined, there’s the chance to gain two full Tech Tree branches (Tier VI–X), three additional premium tanks, 60 days of Premium Account, 6 million credits and other bonuses to fuel their journey.  For those who already own all Tier VI–X vehicles, there will be exclusive rewards that are befitting their dedication to the game.

With this new update, players can start their collection Tier XI tanks with 16 new vehicles, with promises of more on the way. Each of these Tier XI vehicles comes with their own gameplay mechanics to master, and a new progressions system.

More than 350 tanks across al the tiers have been rebalanced to deliver smarter roles and fairer gameplay. All tanks have had a sound upgrade, with authentic tank sounds recorded from real vehicles. Thanks to this, players can enjoy a more immersive battle experience.

Players can now enjoy a brand-new Hanger to view their tanks in. The appropriately designed Tank Factory Hanger will allow players to ensure that their vehicles are equipped, and ready for battle.

The update also introduces the new PVE Event: “Operation Boiling Point”, which sets the scene for the arrival of Tier XI vehicles. There are three different Tier XI tanks for players to try out on a brand-new battlefield. And talking of battlefields, there’s the arrival of the new Nordskar Scandinavian map, that players have long requested.

Additionally, a new matchmaker had been built from the ground up for faster queues, better team balance, and more dynamic battles. Plus, there’s also a new streamlined and informative UI for players to enjoy.

It’s time to gear up, commanders, as World of Tanks enters a new era.
