WWE Studios is teaming up with animation house Film Roman (The Simpsons, King of the Hill) for a new sports entertainment-themed animated web series entitled Camp WWE. The series will consist of 13 three-minute webisodes, scripted by Mike Benson (Entourage, The Bernie Mac Show).
Accoridng to Deadline, Camp WWE will be “adult-themed” and will “cover the formative years of WWE stars, whose misbehaviour prompts their parents to send them off to Camp WWE to be turned into model citizens by feared counselor Vince McMahon.” Not quite sure how that’s “adult-themed”, but there you go…
“Film Roman has been involved with some of the most well-known and humorous animated series,” said Michael Luisi, President WWE Studios, on the announcement. “They are the perfect partners for WWE Studios to capture our superstars in a truly unique and fun way.”
