X-Men: Days of Future Past image teases Quicksilver… and Scarlet Witch?

July 4, 2013 by admin

A few months back Bryan Singer dropped a huge surprise when he announced that Evan Peters (Kick-Ass, American Horror Story) had been cast as Quicksilver in X-Men: Days of Future Past, with Singer and Fox gazumping Joss Whedon, who plans to introduce the character to the Marvel Cinematic Universe with 2015’s The Avengers 2. Now Singer has taken to Twitter to drop another behind-the-scenes image from the set of the mutant ensemble, which suggests we’ll be paying a visit to the Maximoff household in next year’s X-Men sequel…

So, does that mean we might be seeing Scarlet Witch a year earlier too? Maybe Wanda won’t be home that day…

X-Men: Days of Future Past is based on the classic comic book arc by Chris Claremont, and features a near who’s who of the X-Men franchise, including Hugh Jackman (Wolverine), Patrick Stewart (Professor X), Ian McKellen (Magneto), James McAvoy (Professor X), Michael Fassbender (Magneto), Nicholas Hoult (Beast), Jennifer Lawrence (Mystique), Halle Berry (Storm), Ellen Page (Kitty Pryde), Anna Paquin (Rogue), Shawn Ashmore (Iceman) and Daniel Cudmore (Colossus). Also set to feature in the cast are Fan Binbing (Iron Man 3) as Blink, Omar Sy (The Intouchables) as Bishop, Booboo Stewart (The Twilight Saga: Eclipse) as Warpath and Adam Canto (The Following) as Sunspot, with Peter Dinklage (Game of Thrones) portraying the “main antagonist”, thought to be Bolivar Trask.
