June 27, 2018 by Andrew Newton

Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of DANA is now available in both physical and digital formats for the Nintendo Switch.  Containing all the same content and features as the PS4 edition of the game plus the 18 cosmetic DLC, Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of DANA on the Switch is the definitive edition.  The game’s Switch launch trailer can be seen below.

Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of DANA is the first adventure for Ys on a Nintendo console in almost 20 years and will find Adol shipwrecked and stranded on an isolated and cursed island.  As Adol, players will need to save other survivors and bring them to the newly founded village from where they can fend off the myriad of wild beasts.  Players will also join Adol as he sets out on a mission to solve the riddle of a mysterious blue haired maiden.

The game features:

  • An Epic Tale – Join Adol on his adventure to uncover the mysteries of the cursed island.
  • Change your playable character as you battle ferocious foes in lightning fast combat.
  • Help Adol unravel the mystery of the blue haired maiden Dana through her unique gameplay sections.
  • Rescue other shipwrecked passengers and bring them to your village where they will provide valuable services.

Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of DANA is available now in retail stores and digitally on the Nintendo eShop.
