Zombie Graveyard Simulator shambles onto screens

June 5, 2025 by Andrew Newton

Zombie Graveyard Simulator, the latest title from Playway, has risen from the grave and is now available on Steam for PC. This simulator title tasks players with managing their very own graveyard by day, but protecting it from the zombies by night. Watch the launch trailer below…

In a world where the dead turn into zombies, it’s probably refreshing when somebody dies and doesn’t get back up. But when it comes to those who have the decency of staying dead, then it is down to you to ensure they rest peacefully.  With Zombie Graveyard Simulator manage a graveyard, perform burials and cremations, manage facilities and ensure the requests of visitors can be filled.

During the day, players will keep graves intact, provide fresh flowers and provide a welcoming environment for when relatives come to pay their respects. There’s also the opportunity to provide a chapel and souvenir store to sell small items like candles and incense. However, when night falls, waves of zombies will come looking for their next meal and they don’t care if it is you or who you’ve buried that fills them up.

Players will need to build defences to keep the zombies out and as players progress these defences can become more impressive and more effective. Start with basic defences like barbed wire and end up with advanced machines like automatic turrets. Whatever you use, keep them repaired and maintained. There’s a variety of weapons that players can equip, including pistols, rifles, shotguns and even the humble shovel.

As well as a prospering graveyard, players can also make use of a farming area to grow a variety of flowers and vegetables, the latter of which is used to replenish health and energy after a night of fighting. With upgrades, players can unlock a grinder that will turn zombie parts into fertiliser.  Every upgrade matters and will help the graveyard business make more money.

Zombie Graveyard Simulator is available on Steam now with a 20% discount until 19th June.
