E.L. James is worried Fifty Shades of Grey movie will disappoint fans

November 17, 2013 by admin

Fifty Shades of Grey has been in the news a lot with the recasting of its lead, to pushing its release date back to 2015, taking it out of competition with Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy. And now author E.L. James has admitted she is nervous about the upcoming project…

“I’ve been terrified from the moment I published the book,” she says. “You don’t expect this kind of success. Even now it floors me. My only ambition for the books was to see them in bookstores. This is huge. And there is this passionate fandom; we need to get this right for them.”

James then went on to say that she thinks the fans will hold her responsible: “Oh God, of course they will. They hold me responsible for everything.”

Even though I’m not a fan of E.L. James or her books it’s nice to see an author who’s genuinely concerned about her perception with her fan base.  Should E.L. James be worried about the movie? Let us know….

Fifty Shades of Grey is set for release on February 13th, 2015, with Sam Taylor-Johnson (Nowhere Boy) directing a cast that includes Jamie Dornan (Once Upon a Time), Dakota Johnson (The Social Network), Jennifer Ehle (Zero Dark Thirty), Luke Grimes (True Blood), and Victor Rasuk (Godzilla).
