Last week it was confirmed that Sons of Anarchy and Pacific Rim star Charlie Hunnam had officially dropped out of the mummy porn adaptation Fifty Shades of Grey due to personal reasons / a busy schedule / creative differences, and now it has been confirmed that Jamie Dornan (The Fall, Once Upon a Time) has takes over the role of Christian Grey.
Fifty Shades of Grey shouldn’t really be getting a cinematic adaptation but it’s nice to see a young British actor take the lead in a large Hollywood film. Jamie Dornan will star as Christian Grey, a “tormented billionaire who meets young literature student Anastasia Steel” played by Dakota Johnson (The Social Network). Jennifer Ehle (Zero Dark Thirty) co-stars and it will be directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson (Nowhere Boy).
Fifty Shades of Grey opens on 1st August, 2014.
