The Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences has announced the seven finalists vying for a Best Makeup and Hairstyling nomination at the 89th Academy Awards, and comic book movies are represented in the form of Suicide Squad and Deadpool. The films are:
Deadpool
The Dressmaker
Florence Foster Jenkins
Hail, Caesar!
A Man Called Ove
Star Trek Beyond
Suicide Squad
On January 7th, eligible voters will be invited to view excerpts from the films in order to whittle them down to three nominations, which will be announced on January 24th ahead of the award ceremony itself on February 26th.
