Films To Watch Before You Die #78 – Wedding Crashers (2005)

D.J. Haza presents the next entry in his series of films to watch before you die…

Wedding Crashers, 2005.

Directed by David Dobkin.
Starring Owen Wilson, Vince Vaughn, Christopher Walken, Rachel McAdams, Isla Fisher, Jane Seymour and Bradley Cooper.

John (Wilson) and Jeremy (Vaughn) are two fun loving guys who cant wait for the weekend so they can find the hottest weddings in Washington D.C. and crash them looking for one night stands with girls who are sent dizzy by all the nuptials and love in the air.

The pair work by a strict set of rules on wedding crashing taught to them by a master of their art, Chaz (Will Ferrell). As they build fake personas, lives and stories in order to be big hits at the wedding receptions they crash, their goals are simple – free food, champagne and bedding women without any strings attached. Their lives are perfect, until John falls for bridesmaid Claire (McAdams) and drags Jeremy into spending the weekend at her parents’ house posing as distant relatives so he can have more time to win her over. What he didn’t bargain for was her overly competitive boyfriend Zack (Cooper) being there and Jeremy having his own situations with Claire’s sister Gloria (Fisher) and her younger brother too.

Wedding Crashers is stocked full of chuckles from start to finish and offers up some quality laugh out loud moments. Wedding Crashers is a film you must see before you die because it offers some of Vince Vaughn’s best work and biggest laughs as motor-boating son-of-a-bitch Jeremy.
