Joseph Gordon-Levitt responds to Ant-Man casting rumours

October 15, 2013 by admin

Having being revealed yesterday as one of the front runners for the role of Dr. Henry ‘Hank’ Pym in Edgar Wright’s upcoming Marvel movie Ant-Man alongside Paul Rudd (This Is Forty, Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues), The Dark Knight Rises and Don Jon star Joseph Gordon-Levitt has now confirmed that he’s met with the studio, although he also moved to clarify that nothing is official as yet.

“There is always a lot of rumors around these projects and so far it is still only discussions,” Gordon-Levitt tells The Huffington Post. “I am always very transparent when it comes to my role and my career. I’m Usually the first to speak and communicate with my fans if something happens. If you hear nothing from me, they are just rumors.”

This isn’t the first time that Joseph Gordon-Levitt has been on Marvel’s radar, with the actor said to have been under consideration for the role of Star-Lord in Guardians of the Galaxy, which eventually went to Chris Pratt (Parks and Recreation). But with Rudd and a potential third name still in the running, this one looks to be far from a done deal at present.
