Terminator Genisys tops Chinese box office, crosses $350 million worldwide

Almost two months after its release, Terminator Genisys has crossed the $350 million mark at the worldwide box office, thanks to a $27.4 million opening day in China today – the fourth biggest for a Hollywood movie in that market after Furious 7, Avengers: Age of Ultron and Transformers: Age of Extinction.

Terminator Genisys has pulled in just $89 million domestically, but has amassed a healthy $264 million internationally and should cross $400 million globally thanks to a strong showing in China. So, we might get to see that sixth Terminator movie after all…

Terminator Genisys sees Arnold Schwarzenegger leading a cast that also includes Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones), Jason Clarke (Dawn of the Planet of the Apes), Jai Courtney (Suicide Squad), Matt Smith (Doctor Who), J.K. Simmons (Whiplash), Courtney B. Vance (Law & Order: Criminal Intent), Byung-hun Lee (G.I. Joe: Retaliation), Dayo Okeniyi (The Hunger Games), Michael Gladis (Mad Men), Sandrine Holt (House of Cards) and Douglas Smith (Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters).
