Take That’s Gary Barlow to appear in Star Wars: The Last Jedi

March 27, 2017 by Gary Collinson

Appearing on ITV’s Lorraine show this morning, Take That star Gary Barlow has revealed that he is heading to the galaxy far, far away for a part in December’s hotly-anticipated Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

“I’m not a stormtrooper but I am in it,” said Barlow, before joking that, “Now I’ve said that, I’ll probably be out. I think the Star Wars people are so strict about what information [is out there]. So me saying that, I’ve probably just done myself out of a role.”

Barlow isn’t the only reported cameo in The Last Jedi, with Tom Hardy and princes William and Harry also apparently set to feature in the second instalment of Disney and Lucasfilm’s Sequel Trilogy.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi is set for release on December 15th and sees returning cast members Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker), Carrie Fisher (Leia Organa), Adam Driver (Kylo Ren), Daisy Ridley (Rey), John Boyega (Finn), Oscar Isaac (Poe Dameron), Lupita Nyong’o (Maz Kanata), Domhnall Gleeson (General Hux), Anthony Daniels (C-3PO), Gwendoline Christie (Captain Phasma), Billie Lourd (Lieutenant Connix), Andy Serkis (Supreme Leader Snoke), Peter Mayhew and Joonas Suotamo (Chewbacca), Tim Rose (Admiral Ackbar), Mike Quinn (Nien Nunb), Simon Pegg (Unkar Plutt), and Warwick Davis joined by new additions Jimmy Vee (Pan) as R2-D2, Benicio Del Toro (Guardians of the Galaxy), Laura Dern (Jurassic Park) and Kelly Marie Tran (Ladies Like Us).
