Wonder Woman comic book artist shares his thoughts on the film

May 29, 2017 by Jordan Jones

Artist Liam Sharp, who is the current artist for the Wonder Woman comic book series, has seen the upcoming DC Extended Universe film, and spoke to Forbes about his experience:

“There’s so much to love about this movie. Gal is particularly good at the guileless, fish-out-of-water humor, and she’s just extremely charming. It has -much like Indiana Jones – that Saturday morning matinee feel, adventure for all the family. And, in the end, it’s all about hope and love – and we could all do with a bit of that. Looking forward to seeing it again!”

This jives with the opinions of others who have been able to see the film early. Everyone, in particular, seems to really like Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, and feel that the movie strikes the right tone. Luckily, the general public won’t have to wait long to form their own opinions as Wonder Woman releases in just a few days.

Before she was Wonder Woman, she was Diana, princess of the Amazons, trained to be an unconquerable warrior. Raised on a sheltered island paradise, when an American pilot crashes on their shores and tells of a massive conflict raging in the outside world, Diana leaves her home, convinced she can stop the threat. Fighting alongside man in a war to end all wars, Diana will discover her full powers…and her true destiny.

Wonder Woman will hit cinemas on June 1st in the UK and June 2nd in North America, with Patty Jenkins (Monster) directing a cast that includes Gal Gadot (Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice), Chris Pine (Star Trek), Connie Nielsen (Gladiator), Robin Wright (House of Cards), Danny Huston (X-Men Origins: Wolverine), David Thewlis (The Theory of Everything), Ewen Bremner (Snowpiercer), Said Taghmaoui (American Hustle), Elena Anaya (The Skin I Live In), Lisa Loven Kongsli (Force Majeure), Lucy Davis (Shaun of the Dead) and Ann Wolf.
