Diego Boneta joins new Terminator movie in key role

April 10, 2018 by Gary Collinson

Scream Queens and Pretty Little Liars actor Diego Boneta has become the latest addition to the cast of Paramount Pictures and Skydance Productions’ Terminator sequel/reboot.

THR reports that Boneta has signed on for a key role, although details are being kept under wraps (it is said however that he’ll be portraying a human character).

Boneta joins fellow franchise newcomer Mackenzie Davis (Blade Runner 2049), while Arnold Schwarzenegger (The T-800) and Linda Hamilton (Sarah Connor) are both on board to reprise their iconic roles.

The as-yet-untitled Terminator 6 is being directed by Deadpool helmer Tim Miller, with James Cameron returning to the franchise as producer. The movie will serve as a direct sequel to Terminator 2: Judgment Day, ignoring the later sequels.

The movie was recently pushed back from its original July 26th 2019 release date, and will now open on November 22nd 2019.
