Norman Reedus understands why Andrew Lincoln is leaving The Walking Dead

July 26, 2018 by Samuel Brace

The fact that Andrew Lincoln is soon to leave The Walking Dead is understandable to Norman Reedus.

Ever since the show began, Andrew Lincoln has been the main star of The Walking Dead but also heavily supported by the likes of Norman Reedus. So Lincoln’s character Rick leaving the show will certainly bring about a massive change to the series’ composition.

Reedus understands Lincoln’s decision to leave, however, revealing the difficulty he also feels in being away from his own family to EW: “When he told me he was thinking about doing this, I get it. I have a son in New York, and I’m constantly bouncing back and forth all these nine years to go see him. And I get it. He’s got two beautiful children, a beautiful wife. His whole family’s awesome, and you can’t be mad at him for going. It’s very understandable, but I’m going to miss the hell out of him.”

With Lincoln’s family being back in the UK, it’s easy to see why Reedus would sympathise with the actor. Will you still be tuning in once Rick has left the scene?
