First official look at The Monitor in Arrowverse ‘Elseworlds’ crossover

October 31, 2018 by Amie Cranswick

Following on from last week’s set photos featuring the character, Entertainment Weekly has revealed a first look at LaMonica Garrett as The Monitor from The CW’s upcoming Arrowverse crossover episodes ‘Elseworlds’; take a look here…

The Monitor is described as “an extraterrestrial being of infinite power”, who in the DC comic book universe is the twin brother of the Anti-Monitor, the villain from the Crisis on Infinite Earths event. As yet, there’s no word as to how the character factors into the ‘Elseworlds’ plot.

“LaMonica was ridiculous, like seeing him in his suit, he’s just a monster,” states The Flash star Grant Gustin.  “He’s like an absolute unit. He doesn’t have to do a lot with his performance. He’s so intimidating with just these subtleties, so that’s dope.”

‘Elseworlds’ begins with The Flash on December 9th, followed by Arrow on December 10th and Supergirl on December 11th. In addition to Grant Gustin (The Flash), Stephen Amell (Green Arrow) and Melissa Benoist (Supergirl), it is set to feature guest appearances from Tyler Hoechlin (Superman), Ruby Rose (Batwoman), Elizabeth Tulloch (Lois Lane), John Wesley Shipp (Jay Garrick/The Flash), Cassandra Jean Amell (Nora Fries), LaMonica Garrett (The Monitor) and Jeremy Davis (Dr. John Deegan).
