Fast & Furious 9 to start shooting in February, reveals Vin Diesel

January 27, 2019 by Gary Collinson

Having been pushed back to accommodate this year’s spinoff Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs and Shaw, Universal is now revving its engines on Fast & Furious 9 ahead of a planned production start next month, as revealed by Vin Diesel on Instagram…

The ninth instalment in the main series will see the return of director Justin Lin, who is on board to helm both Fast 9 and Fast 10 after previously handling the third, fourth, fifth and sixth instalments of the franchise.

As yet, we know little about the plans for Fast & Furious 9, save for the return of Vin Diesel’s Dom and Michelle Rodriguez’s Letty, who will presumably be joined by a number of familiar faces from the blockbuster franchise. That may not include Dwayne Johnson however, with The Rock having had a falling out with Diesel during production on The Fate of the Furious.
