February 7, 2019 by Gary Collinson

Last month it was announced that Karen Gillan (Avengers: Infinity War) had signed on to star in the action thriller Gunpowder Milkshake, and now comes word that she will be joined in the cast by Game of Thrones’ Lena Headey.

The film is being directed by Aharon Keshales and Navot Papushado (Big Bad Wolves) and while plot details are being kept under wraps, the project is described as “a high-concept action thriller with a rich mythology that revolves around a multi-generational ensemble cast.”

Headey will reprise her role as Cersei Lannister this April for the final season of HBO’s epic fantasy series Game of Thrones, and also stars in Fighting With My Family, the big screen biopic of WWE Superstar Paige [read our review here].

Gillan meanwhile has Avengers: Endgame incoming and is also reuniting with her Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle co-stars Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart and Jack Black for a sequel to the 2017 blockbuster.
