Super Mario Maker 2 announced for the Nintendo Switch

February 14, 2019 by Andrew Newton

Back in 2015, Super Mario Maker was released on the WiiU and was an absolute gem of a game to play and provided so much enjoyment.  Now, thanks to an announcement from Nintendo, that enjoyment is set to happen again on the Nintendo Switch with the launch of Super Mario Maker 2 this June.  Nintendo has released a new announcement trailer that can be seen below…

With Super Mario Maker 2 players will be able to let their imaginations run wild and create the most amazing courses for Mario to race through.  Fans can expect access to a larger variety of tools, items and features and, for the first time ever, be able to construct huge slopes for some sliding, Koopa destroying fun.

In this new game, a sequel to the original Wii U™ game, players can create the Super Mario courses of their dreams, with access to even more tools, items and features, including the new ability to create slopes for the first time. Super Mario Maker 2 launches exclusively for Nintendo Switch this June.

Look out for more news on Super Mario Maker 2 coming soon.
