March 15, 2019 by Amie Cranswick

Ahead of its limited theatrical release next month, a poster and trailer have been released for the dark comedy crime-drama Stockholm. Written and directed by Robert Budreau, the film tells the true story of the 1973 Stockholm bank heist, which give first give rise to the term ‘Stockholm Syndrome’ after the hostages defended their captors, refusing the testify against them. Featuring in the cast are Ethan Hawke, Noomi Rapace, Mark Strong, Christopher Heyerdahl, Bea Santos, Thorbjorn Harr, and John Ralston; take a look here…

“Based on the absurd but true 1973 hostage crisis in Stockholm that was documented in the New Yorker as the origins of the ‘Stockholm Syndrome’.
