Michael Keaton can’t confirm if he is returning as Batman for The Flash movie

October 21, 2020 by Samuel Brace

Michael Keaton has said that he is unable to confirm any reports that he is returning as Batman for The Flash movie.

Fans around the world were shocked and delighted with the reports that Michael Keaton would be reprising his role as Batman alongside Ben Affleck in The Flash solo movie.

The actor last played the Caped Crusader in 1992’s Batman Returns so it was unexpected news to say the release. What does Keaton have to say about all this? Well, when asked by Jimmy Kimmel about the news (via ComicBook.com), the actor was tight-lipped:

“I can’t confirm anything,” the actor said, before adding, “So, we’re having discussions as they say. We’re talking about it. We’ll see if that happens.”

He also joked that “all 127” past Batmen would be returning but that he’s, of course, the best.

Seeing Keaton return as Batman will certainly be a big moment and something surely no one thought would happen again. Let’s hope that Keaton’s reluctance to confirm anything isn’t anything to worry about although by all accounts the deal is already done and dusted.
