The Justin Theroux and Melissa George-led The Mosquito Coast is set to return for a second season, with THR reporting that Apple TV+ has renewed the TV adaptation of the 1981 novel by Theroux’s uncle Paul Theroux.
“The Mosquito Coast has captured the imagination of viewers all over the world, not only because of its adrenaline-fueled action and adventure but also for the engaging family story and captivating performances at its heart,” said Matt Cherniss, head of programming for Apple. “We can’t wait to find out what comes next for the Fox family, and for audiences to continue to experience the thrill ride.”
A brilliant rebel (Justin Theroux) and his wife (Melissa George) take their family on the run to protect them, but end up exposing them to more danger than ever. At every turn of their adventure, they encounter increasing threats and intensifying moral choices from which there’s no turning back.
