Agatha Harkness will return to the MCU, confirms Kevin Feige

July 15, 2021 by Amie Cranswick

After discovering it was Agatha all along, the conclusion of Marvel Studios’ WandaVision saw Elizabeth Olsen’s Wanda Maximoff banishing Kathryn Hahn’s wicked witch to a life of normality in Westview as nosy neighbour Agnes.

However, speaking to Rotten Tomatoes in a recent interview, Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige has confirmed that we haven’t seen the last of Agatha Harkness in the MCU.

“Someday,” teased Feige, when asked by the outlet when we might next expect an Agatha appearance. “Someday soon. You will see Kathryn Hahn in Knives Out 2 next, then maybe an assortment of other things. But within the MCU, it can’t come soon enough. Let’s put it that way.”

In the comic books, Agatha is portrayed as a heroic character, serving as a teacher and mentor to Wanda as opposed to a villain. With that in mind, it’s certainly not inconceivable that she’ll factor into the Scarlet Witch’s story further as Wanda continues to master her powers and search for her missing children.

Marvel Studios’ captivating new series WandaVision stars Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany and marks the first series from Marvel Studios streaming exclusively on Disney+. The series is a blend of classic television and the Marvel Cinematic Universe in which Wanda Maximoff and Vision—two super-powered beings living idealized suburban lives—begin to suspect that everything is not as it seems.

WandaVision features a cast that includes Elizabeth Olsen (Scarlet Witch), Paul Bettany (Vision), Kat Dennings (Darcy Lewis), Randall Park (Agent Jimmy Woo), Teyonah Parris (Empire) as Monica Rambeau, and Kathryn Hahn (Bad Moms) as Agatha Harkness.
