Hellraiser’s Pinhead comes to Dead by Daylight

September 8, 2021 by Andrew Newton

A new chapter has arrived for survival horror title Dead By Daylight as Pinhead, the leader of the Cenobites, arrives in the game’s latest Hellraiser DLC.  Pinhead, a demon-like being of immense power comes from a nightmarish dimension and is only able to enter a realm through the opening of a puzzle box known as the Lament Configuration.  What follows is terror, suffering and death.

This latest killer to enter Dead By Daylight arrives with his own unique killer power called Summons of Pain.  Using this power will allow Pinhead to open an extradimensional gateway and summon a possessed chain that can be directed at a survivor, binding them and preventing them from sprinting.  Bound survivors can be caught by the chains a further two times which will decrease their movement speed further.  Fortunately, survivors can use the Break Free action to escape.

If left alone, the Lament Configuration puzzle box initiates a Chain Hunt by summoning chains to chase down survivors and those who hold the Lament Configuration will occasionally be attacked by the chains whilst being afflicted by the Oblivious status effect.  The puzzle box must be solved to end the Chain Hunt, although while doing so Pinhead will be able to locate them and teleport there.

Pinhead also comes with the following three perks:

  • Deadlock – After a generator is repaired, The Entity will block the generator with the most progress for a set duration.  During this time the generator will have a white aura.
  • Hex: Plaything – When a survivor is hooked for the first time it will activate this perk on a random dull totem and curse the survivor with Oblivious until said totem is cleansed.  The cursed survivor will see the aura when near and will need to personally cleanse it.
  • Scourge Hook: Gift of Pain – Pinhead begins each trial with up to 4 Scourge Hooks that can be used on Survivors. When they are unhooked they will suffer Hemorrhage and Mangled until healed and even then will have a speed penalty to healing, repairing, and opening actions until injured again.

Those who purchase the Hellraiser DLC will receive the Lament Configuration Universal Charm.

The Hellraiser DLC is available now for Dead By Daylight.
