Love, addiction and high drama return in the trailer for season 2 of Euphoria

December 29, 2021 by Matt Rodgers

Ahead of its new year return, HBO has debuted the official season 2 trailer for their Emmy Award winning drama Euphoria.

Following on from the two special episodes that were filmed under Covid restrictions in 2020, which focused on Hunter Schafer’s Jules and Zendaya’s Rue, season two will see their paths collide once again in a familiar world of sex, drugs, and teenage trauma; check out the trailer along with a new poster featuring Zendaya…

Euphoria follows a group of high school students as they navigate love and friendships in a world of drugs, sex, trauma and social media.

Zendaya leads an ensemble cast that also includes Maude Apatow, Angus Cloud, Eric Dane, Alexa Demie, Jacob Elordi, Barbie Ferreira, Nika King, Storm Reid, Hunter Schafer, Algee Smith and Sydney Sweeney.

Created, written, and directed by Sam Levinson, who also serves as executive producer. Other executive producers include Drake, Future the Prince, Ravi Nandan, Kevin Turen, Hadas Mozes Lichtenstein, Ron Leshem, Daphna Levin, Tmira Yardeni, Mirit Toovi, Yoram Mokady, Gary Lennon and Jim Kleverweis. Produced in partnership with A24 and based on the Israeli series of the same name, which was created by Ron Leshem and Daphna Levin, from HOT.

Euphoria season 2 premieres on HBO on January 9th in the US, and on January 10th on Sky Atlantic and NOW in the UK.
