HBO releases trailer for The Time Traveler’s Wife starring Rose Leslie and Theo James

April 21, 2022 by Ricky Church

HBO has released the first trailer for its six-episode adaptation of The Time Traveler’s Wife. The series stars Rose Leslie (Game of Thrones) and Theo James (Divergent) in the lead roles and will premiere on May 15th. Watch the trailer below…

Based on the 2003 novel by Audrey Niffenegger, The Time Traveler’s Wife is “an intricate and magical love story, following the story of Clare and Henry, and a marriage with a problem… time travel.”

Leslie stars as Clare Abshire while James is Henry DeTamble. Also starring is Desmin Borges (You’re the Worst) as Gomez and Natasha Lopez (Runner Runner) as Charisse.

The Time Traveler’s Wife also features Michael Park, Caitlin Shorey, Everleigh McDonell, Jaime Ray Newman, Taylor Richardson, Peter Graham, Brian Altemus, Jason David, Kate Siegel, Josh Stamberg, Chelsea Frei, Marcia DeBonis, Will Brill, and Spencer House.

The series adaptation comes from David Nutter (Game of Thrones) and Steven Moffat (Sherlock). Nutter directed the series while Moffat wrote and the pair are serving as executive producers with Sue Vertue and Brian Minchin through Hartswood Films alongside Joseph E. Iberti. It is a production between Warner Bros. Television and HBO.

Chicago librarian Henry De Tamble (Theo James) suffers from a rare genetic disorder that causes him to drift uncontrollably back and forth through time. On one of his sojourns, he meets the love of his life, Claire (Rose Leslie), and they marry. But the problems and complexities of any relationship are multiplied by Henry’s inability to remain in one time and place, so that he and his beloved are continually out of sync.

The Time Traveler’s Wife premieres on HBO Sunday, May 15th.
