New trailer for Kao the Kangaroo reboot introduces his friends and family

May 14, 2022 by Andrew Newton

Classic Dreamcast platforming hero Kao the Kangaroo will be making his return on PC and consoles on 27th May in the new platforming adventure Kao the Kangaroo.  Kao’s first adventure arrived on the Dreamcast back in 2000 and later this month gamers will be able to join this plucky kangaroo on his biggest adventure yet.  Tate Multimedia has released a brand-new trailer introducing some of the characters that will help Kao on his journey.  Watch the new trailer below….

In the latest trailer we get to meet Walt the Mentor and, as his name suggests, is the mentor to both Kao and his father.  This feisty koala is said to have learned to fight before he could walk which makes him ideal for teaching Kao a few moves.  Next up is Kao’s mum Marlene aka the Iron Lady (not Margaret Thatcher).  Marlene has a stern exterior but deep down is a loving and caring mum to Kao.  Finally, we get to meet Kao’s friend Gadget, who has a thing for tinkering and inventing.

Kao the Kangaroo features:

  • A diverse and beautiful world packed with secrets.
  • Family friendly gameplay.
  • Magic boxing gloves that pack a punch.
  • A cast of captivating characters.
  • An engaging story.
  • Challenging combat and boss battles.
  • A wealth of different items to collect.

Kao the Kangaroo will arrive both physically and digitally on Xbox One and X/S consoles, Playstation 4 and 5, Nintendo Switch and PC via Epic Games Store and Steam.
