A Firenado is unleashed in trailer for new disaster movie

December 16, 2022 by Amie Cranswick

October Coast has released a poster and trailer for Firenado, the upcoming disaster movie from directors Rhys Frake-Waterfield (Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey) and Scott Jeffrey, and penned by FM’s own Tom Jolliffe (Renegades).

The film follows a group of scientists as they stumble across an organised crime home invasion while attempting to evacuate the residents of a small town when it comes under threat from a fire tornado, caused by their own malfunctioning technology.

The film, one to rival Geostorm and The Day After Tomorrow, tells of four scientists that uncover a ground-breaking technology capable of controlling weather. On the first use of the device, it malfunctions and creates a Fire Tornado. As the Firenado leaves a wake of destruction, the group assist in evacuating nearby residents but stumble upon into an organized crime home invasion. Stuck between a rock and a hard place; the group struggle to survive the two threats.

Firenado arrives on digital platforms on January 3rd.
