Hot Toys launches One Piece sixth scale figures with Monkey D. Luffy and Roronoa Zoro

September 2, 2023 by Amie Cranswick

Sideshow and Hot Toys have revealed the Monkey D. Luffy and Roronoa Zoro sixth scale figures which are inspired by the appearance of the characters in Netflix’s live-action adventure series One Piece. The collectibles are available to pre-order now, priced at $275 each; check them out below…

With his straw hat and ragtag crew, young pirate Monkey D. Luffy goes on an epic voyage for treasure in this live-action adaptation of the popular manga. Throughout his adventure, Luffy has displayed incredible powers through the power of the Devil Fruit, giving fans some of the most intriguing and creative attacks on screen.

The greatly-detailed Monkey D. Luffy action figure features a newly developed head sculpt with separate rolling eyeballs and interchangeable hair sculpture for his hat look. Luffy wears his iconic red vest, blue pants and boots painted with weathering effects. The highly-poseable body comes with a pair of interchangeable arms and right leg in extended form to recreate his special rubber-based attacks, smoke effect accessories attachable to arms, a purple Devil Fruit, and a figure base.

In the world of One Piece, one character stands above others regarding strength, loyalty, and swordsmanship. That man is the unofficial first mate of the Straw Hat pirates, the right-hand man to young Monkey D. Luffy, Roronoa Zoro. As one of the most beloved characters in this live-action adaptation of the popular manga, Roronoa Zoro will unfold his ambition slowly through the adventure.

The highly-accurate Rorona Zoro action figure features two interchangeable head sculpts with separate rolling eyeballs, allowing you to pose him in serious look or the iconic look with hair tied back in a black bandana and a sword in his mouth. His costume is completed with white robe, black pants and a belt with sword scabbards. There are three swords that allow the swordsman to recreate his powerful attack styles using one, two and three swords. The figure also includes a tied bandana, and a display stand!

Inspired by the manga series, One Piece follows Monkey D. Luffy, a young adventurer who has longed for a life of freedom since he can remember. Motivated by his desire to become King of the Pirates, Luffy sets off from his small village on a perilous journey to find the legendary fabled treasure, ONE PIECE! But in order to find the ultimate prize, Luffy must assemble the crew he’s always wanted and find a ship to sail.

Featuring in the cast of One Piece are Iñaki Godoy as Monkey D. Luffy, Mackenyu as Roronoa Zoro, Emily Rudd as Nami, Jacob Romero as Usopp, and Taz Skylar as Sanji, alongside a cast that also includes Vincent Regan, Ilia Isorelýs Paulino, Morgan Davies, Aidan Scott, Langley Kirkwood, Jeff Ward, Celeste Loots, Alexander Maniatis, McKinley Belcher III, Craig Fairbrass, Steven Ward, and Chioma Umeala.

One Piece is streaming now on Netflix.
