Jeremy Allen White is officially Bruce Springsteen for Scott Cooper’s Deliver Me From Nowhere

April 8, 2024 by Matt Rodgers

From The Bear to ‘The Boss’, Jeremy Allen White has officially been cast as Bruce Springsteen in Scott Cooper’s musical biopic Deliver Me From Nowhere.

Allen was rumoured to be in talks for the role late last month, and now Deadline has confirmed that the Emmy-winning star has agreed to embody Springsteen in a movie chronicling the recording of his seminal 1992 album Nebraska.

Titled Deliver Me From Nowhere, the film will be directed by The Pale Blue Eye‘s Scott Cooper, who knows a thing or two about successful musical movies having steered Jeff Bridges towards the Academy Award for Best Actor in 2009’s Crazy Heart.

Deliver Me From Nowhere will see Jeremy Allen White playing The Boss during a pivotal moment in his life as he grapples with personal demons, as well as trying to embrace becoming a global superstar.

The 20th Century Studios film follows a recent trend of musical biopics that include Bob Marley, Queen, Elton John, and this week’s Amy Winehouse movie.

Let us know whether a Bruce Springsteen biopic is your tempo, or if you’d watch regardless because it’s Jeremy Allen White by heading to our social channels @FlickeringMyth…
