Ultimate Universe
The multiverse theory has been explored a little bit in the MCU so far. As mentioned previously, Ant-Man started to pave the way, with Doctor Strange adding to this particular part of the Marvel mythos. As we continue to explore these multiverses, Ant-Man and the Wasp seems like no better opportunity to look towards what will be introduced in the future. I am a strong believer that post Avengers 4 we will see a whole new variety of wacky concepts, especially exploring the multiverse more. I believe that the Ultimate Universe, a parallel universe where key characters are slightly altered, will play into this, giving the studio the opportunity to utilise previously used characters in different ways.
Using Ant-Man and the Wasp to nod towards the Ultimate Universe can be done in a variety of ways. Accidentally punching a hole in this universe when finding Janet, or a brief blink and you’ll miss it scene as the characters travel through the multiverses are both ways of presenting this to audiences. The Ultimate version of Ant-Man seems to go by Giant-Man more commonly and is known as Henry Pym. Perhaps this is even a way to introduce a brand new character to the MCU? Or maybe the Ultimate Universe could provide the solution to an issue they encounter in the film. Sooner or later concepts like these are likely to be added to the MCU and this film seems the perfect opportunity to do so.
Stature
The final and perhaps most likely addition to this list is Stature. The daughter of Scott Lang, Cassie, has already been introduced as a young girl in Ant-Man. However, if the time travel elements of Avengers 4 are to be believed, as well as the rumours of this character’s inclusion in the untitled sequel, Ant-Man and the Wasp might just hold a preview of the Young Avengers member in action. Currently known as Stinger, but better known as Stature, Cassie Lang has the same powers as her father and also takes to the crime-fighting life.
The inclusion of this character would be a shocking twist but could redefine how Scott acts; having always used his actions to protect his daughter, he is now on the back foot, having to allow her to follow her own destiny despite the danger it presents. An interesting dynamic to play up and one that follows on nicely from the original and sets up the future MCU with the Young Avengers, a very popular team, the inclusion of Stature whilst odd at first actually makes the most sense!

(Dave), while new additions to the cast include Michelle Pfeiffer as Janet Van Dyne, Laurence Fishburne as Dr. Bill Foster/Goliath, Hannah John-Kamen as The Ghost, Walton Goggins as Sonny Burch and Randall Park as Jimmy Woo.
