7 Days to Die Alpha 18 video showcases The Great Heist

August 4, 2019 by Andrew Newton

Following on from last week’s reveal of the new series of books heading to Alpha 18 of 7 Days to Die, Joel Huenink of The Fun Pimps has released a new developer video showcasing ‘The Great Heist’ book series.  This series focuses on stealth and stealing/ looting, and adds some perks that will be more useful in PvP.

For players who prefer a bit more stealth to their surviving in a zombie apocalypse, The Great Heist adds perks and abilities to make it a little more easy.  As with “The Fireman’s Almanac”, this series can be found in book shelves and the likes but aren’t the most common of items to find.

This series of books includes:

  • Vol 1 – Players will do 10% more damage when breaking into safes.
  • Vol 2 – Looters will find more gems and valuables when searching.
  • Vol 3 allows players to craft a timed explosive.  In the video this looks like it would make a good sticky bomb.
  • Vol 4 – This PvP orientated book will allow players to do 20% more damage to land claimed items.
  • Vol 5 – A particularly useful perk that will allow players to fall up to 30m without taking damage PROVIDING they are carrying 5000 Dukes or more.
  • Vol 6 – Players can stealth sprint without losing stamina.
  • Vol 7 – Turrets won’t detect players for 3 seconds.  As there are no turrets in POIs at present, this ability will be much more useful in PvP.
  • Vol 8 – This volume is perhaps the best one for any stealth seeker to gain.  Players are able to craft their own lock picks and pick locks 20% faster.

Look out for more Alpha 18 news coming soon.
