Horror has to be the most exploited genre in film (besides, well, the exploitation genre). For some odd reason, people like to be scared, and so, as far back as the early-20th century, we have seen filmmakers try and do just that. Combine this with the fact that you don’t have to have an extravagant budget to create tension and you have the perfect formula for success.

The 90s, in particular, were a pretty underrated era for the genre. The 80s had given us classics that indulged in sci-fi tropes, while the 2000s got more gory. The 90s, on the other hand, were very experimental, producing some fascinating pieces of work that the folks at Marvelous Videos believe are worth your time. Check out the video here…
