Indie developer Dusty Box has announced Cult of Blood, a new survival horror adventure coming soon to PC and consoles. Inspired by a true story and blended with various supernatural horror elements, Cult of Blood will deliver classic survival horror tension. A new announcement trailer is available below, showcasing the fog-drenched streets, and a demo is now live on Steam.
Take the role of a police officer who has been sent to a quiet, unassuming village to investigate unsettling reports. What starts as a routine investigation soon turns into a fight for survival as an evil cult and supernatural horrors dominate this hidden village, cut off from time. Will you become the final sacrifice in a priestess’s ritual to ascend as a goddess or will you destroy the cult?
Explore fog-drenched streets, candlelit chambers and swampy ruins in classic old-school survival horror fashion. Watch cinematic cutscenes, enjoy fixed camera angles and master classic-inspired tank controls with modern refinements for aiming and dodging.
Face grotesque enemies, hunt down resources, and seek out the all-important (and very limited) ammunition. With scarce ammunition, master the use of melee weapons and collect blood souls that can be used to upgrade them, or even gain more equipment.
Cult of Blood will feature:
- Cinematic horror features, including fixed camera angles and chilling cutscenes that create a film-like atmosphere.
- Classic survival horror with added modern refinements.
- Intense melee combat, limited ammo and enemy swarms that help create tension.
- Face brutal boss battles.
- Collect blood souls to upgrade weapons and unlock new equipment.
The playable demo for Cult of Blood is available now on Steam and will launch on PC, PlayStation and Xbox next year.
