When the Doctor and Rose arrive in the 47th century, they find the Earth’s surface empty of humanity. Humans have either left the surface and ventured to the stars or live on floating cities that float freely among the clouds. The citizens on these floating cities seem to live an idyllic life without having to work, but the Doctor is all too aware that places claiming to be paradise are hiding something. On the floating city of High Wycombe, the cracks are starting to show and in the mind of teenage Elsa, there is something ancient and hungry.
Joining Christopher Eccleston and Billie Piper are Felicity Cant as the troubled teen Elsa, Charlie Condou as her father Marty, Lawrence Boothman as Oz, and Louise Faulkner as Chihiro.
