A new edition of Astro Bears is coming to Nintendo Switch

February 19, 2019 by Andrew Newton

Fans of Astro Bears Party on Nintendo Switch will soon be able to indulge themselves in more Astro Bears entertainment as SONKA announce a new edition coming soon to the Nintendo eShop.  This new edition will feature lots of extra content and as a special thank you to existing owners of Astro Bears Party, this new edition will be available for FREE.

there are lots of new features coming with this updated edition with new modes, revamped modes and new bears.

Four new bears, each with their own unique playstyle, will be joining in the fun including the famous World War II bear Private Wojtek.  This famous bear helped soldiers carry ammunition in the Italian campaign and is a true bear hero.

The brand new Competitive mode is a new 1v1 tournament mode designed to support the game’s esports community and  will see players select 3 different Astro Bears and match them as best as they can to a variety of different environments. Those who succeed in matching all three will win.

Changes to other game modes include Party Mode which will feature a new huge planet and randomised settings to change difficulty, and Jetfish Hunting, which can now be played with two and online leaderboards.

“When we originally released Astro Bears Party, we never envisioned that it would become such a phenomenon,” says Rafal Sankowski, CEO of SONKA. “The community embraced our core concept of a very simple, straightforward game that is tons of fun to play, and we are thrilled to reward our loyal fans with all this new Astro Bears content for free.”

Astro Bears is expected to arrive this spring on the Nintendo eShop.
