Penguin has released several new audiobooks so far this year, with novelisations of classic adventures, brand-new stories, and collections of tales from Doctor Who annuals, plus there are more on the way. Read on to see what is coming soon.
Throughout January and February, Penguin has released four new audiobooks, including:
Doctor Who: The Pescatons – In this exciting novelisation of the 1976 audio adventure, a scientific expedition has disappeared from the bed of the Thames Estuary and a vast, roaring creature is what the Fourth Doctor and Sarah Jane are forced to face. This adventure is read by Jon Culshaw.
Doctor Who: The Mind Trap – A brand-new adventure is in store for the Second Doctor, Jamie and Zoe when the TARDIS makes a hasty landing on a satellite, only to find it is a one-man prison for a very dangerous individual. The time travellers need to get back to the TARDIS, but can they get back to it before the prisoner can? David Troughton reads a brand-new adventure.

March has plenty of exciting adventures in store for Who fans, including:
Doctor Who: Star Flight – In this brand-new adventure, read by Christopher Naylor, the TARDIS materialises on board a regularly scheduled passenger flight using a revolutionary type of interstellar travel. When a large levitating alien creature boards the craft demanding the return of ‘an arterfact’, the First Doctor, Susan, Ian and Barbara must find a way to help the crew outwit this invader. This adventure arrives on 5th March.
Also arriving on 5th March is Doctor Who: The Myths & Legends Collection, a quintet of TV novelisations of the TV series featuring mythical lands and legendary beasts. These five tales are read by Anneke Wills, Jon Culshaw, Louise Jameson, Bonnie Langford and Rebecca Benson.
Arriving on 26th March is Doctor Who: Aliens of London, a brand-new novelisation of the 2005 TV episode. When the Doctor takes Rose home to London, they find a spaceship in the Thames, an alien body in the wreckage and a conspiracy to take control of the UK by the Slitheen. Read byCamille Coduri.

Doctor Who: The Satan Pit, also arriving on 26th March, is a multi-voice reading of the novelisation of the 2006 BBC TV adventure. When the Doctor and Rose arrive on an impossible planet orbiting a black hole, they find themselves trapped with a team of humans and the mysterious Ood. But deep below the planet’s surface is something ancient and evil struggling to break free, something from before time that even the Doctor fears.
Finally, in Doctor Who: The Time of Angels, a call for help from River Song draws the Doctor and Amy to the wreck of the starship Byzantium, and a Weeping Angel that is determined to escape. Joining up with a squad of military clerics, the Doctor must fight to survive against these quantum-locked killers. Read by Maureen O’Brien.
