Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje joins Game of Thrones season 5

October 18, 2014 by Gary Collinson

The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (Lost, Thor: The Dark World) has joined the cast of Game of Thrones for its fifth season; details of his role are being kept under wraps, but the site reports that he’ll be playing a character called Malko who is not present in George R.R. Martin’s book series.

In addition to his casting in Game of Thrones, Akinnuoye-Agbaje has also signed on to appear in Jay Roach’s Trumbo, which stars Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad) as Dalton Trumbo, screenwriter of Roman Holiday and Spartacus, who found himself blacklisted during the McCarthy witch-hunts. Also featuring in the cast are Helen Mirren (The Queen), Diane Lane (Man of Steel) and John Goodman (Inside Llewyn Davis).

Game of Thrones returns to HBO in the Spring, while Trumbo is yet to have a release date set.
