Adult Swim announces Robot Chicken DC Comics Special II

May 10, 2013 by admin

After the success of last year’s Robot Chicken DC Comics Special, it will come as little surprise to learn that a sequel is now in development, with Adult Swim announcing Robot Chicken DC Comics Special II as part of its upcoming schedule for 2014; here’s the official description:

Faster than a speeding bullet! Well, maybe not but quality takes time. Stoopid Buddy Stoodios, in partnership with DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. Animation, will premiere a sequel to their acclaimed Annie Award-winning Robot Chicken DC Comics Special in 2014. Robot Chicken DC Comics Special II brings you the awesomeness of the DC Comics universe of characters as only Robot Chicken can, with amazing guest stars and the stop-motion sketch comedy you’ve come to love after six seasons of the popular Adult Swim series.

Executive producers for the second Robot Chicken DC Comics Special include Stoopid Monkey’s Seth Green and Matthew Senreich, DC Entertainment Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns, Warner Bros. Animation’s Executive Vice President, Creative Affairs Sam Register, and Stoopid Buddy Stoodios’ John Harvatine IV and Eric Towner.

Meanwhile, the first Robot Chicken DC Comics Special – which features the likes of Megan Fox, Nathan Fillion, Neil Patrick Harris, Breckin Meyer and Alfred Molina among its voice cast – is due to arrive on Blu-ray and DVD in North America on July 9th.
