Last week it was revealed that Paramount TV is developing a series based upon Tom Clancy’s CIA analyst Jack Ryan, and now it has been announced that the streaming service Amazon has snapped up the project, giving it a full series order.
Deadline is reporting that the series “is not a direct adaptation of the books as were the first Jack Ryan movies but a new contemporary take on the character in his prime as a CIA analyst/operative using the novels as source material.”
The project is being spearheaded by Lost co-showrunner Carlton Cuse and writer Graham Roland, with Michael Bay’s Platinum Dunes producing alongside Paramount TV and Skydance Media.
