July 15, 2025 by Ricky Church

Former Spider-Man Andrew Garfield has joined the cast of Luca Guadagnino’s next film Artificial, where he will lead alongside Anora‘s Yura Borisov.

Artificial is described as a “comedic drama set in the world of artificial intelligence.” Guadagnino will direct from a script by Simon Rich (An American Pickle) and will be produced by Rich, Heyday Films’ David Heyman and Jeffrey Clifford, and Jennifer Fox.

Borisov is coming off an Oscar nomination for his role in Anora under the Best Supporting Actor category while Garfield recently starred in the romantic drama We Live in Time with Florence Pugh.

Artificial will also mark the second time Garfield has worked with Guadagnino as he will be seen in the director’s After The Hunt this fall for Amazon MGM.

Artificial is aso being produced by Amazon MGM Studios. A release date has not yet been announced.
