Angelina Jolie is Maria Callas in teaser trailer for biopic Maria

StudioCanal has shared a trailer Maria, the latest biographical drama from director Pablo Larrain (Jackie, Spencer) which stars Angelina Jolie in the titular role as Maria Callas and tells the story of the renowned opera singer’s final days in 1970s Paris.

Joining Jolie in the cast are Pierfrancesco Favino, Alba Rohrwacher, Haluk Bilginer, and Kodi Smit-McPhee. Watch the trailer below…

Maria will tell the tumultuous, beautiful, and tragic story of the life of the world’s greatest female opera singer, relived, and reimagined during her final days in 1970s Paris.

Maria arrives in cinemas on January 10th.
