Assemble Entertainment announces post-apocalyptic strategy Endzone: A World Apart

October 31, 2019 by Andrew Newton

Assemble Entertainment and developer Gentlymad have unveiled their latest title coming to Steam Early Access on Windows PC and Mac in Spring 2020.  Endzone: A World Apart is a city building game that takes player to a post-apocalyptic world where dangerous enemies and an unforgiving and hostile environment awaits.

In Endzone: A World Apart players will travel 150 years into the future to a world destroyed by a terrorist nuclear attack, there they will follow a group of refugees who leave their underground bunkers, known as Endzones, to recolonise the surface world and rebuild society.  Players will need to use sound leadership skills if the refugees are to survive a world where toxic rain, dangerously radioactive environments, raging sandstorms and a merciless climate are more deadly than the most vicious of living creatures.

This post-apocalyptic city-builder will feature:

  • A wide variety of different professions and tasks to assign to the refugees and a good amount of resources to utilise in order to build an efficient infrastructure.
  • Over 30 different buildings, each with a significant purpose, that can be used to provide shelter, provide education, cultivate crops etc.
  • Ensure the survival of the refugees from the environmental dangers including toxic rains and contaminated soil.
  • Dynamically simulated humidity and radiation.
  • Send expeditions to discover new resources and lands.

“We are proud to add such an exciting and unique game to our roster, and most of all, share it with the world,” said Assemble Entertainment CEO Stefan Marcinek. “We know players are going to have a blast with Endzone, and we urge them to keep an eye on this title as we approach Early Access.”

Look out for Endzone: A World Apart arriving on Steam Early Access next spring.
