Billie Piper’s Rose Tyler returns for new Doctor Who audio adventure The Dimension Cannon: Trapped

The best companion of the new Doctors is back in a whole new, three part audio drama, Rose Tyler: The Dimension Cannon – Trapped, available now from Big Finish Productions.  In this new adventure Billie Piper reprises her role as Rose with Camille Coduri returning as the ditsy but lovable Jackie Tyler.

In this new audio adventure, Rose has travelled through dimensions, across time and wandered in and out of alternate realities but now finds herself marooned after a disastrous dimension jump.  With no way back to her own world and no sign of the Doctor she must find a way to save herself and the multiverse.

The three adventures in the Rose Tyler: The Dimension Cannon – Trapped box set are:

Sink or Swim by Lizzie Hopley

After her dimension jump, Rose finds herself lost and alone in an unfamiliar world where a strange entropy is eating away at those trying to survive.  But as she starts her quest to find a way home she finds both family and hope.

The Lower Road by Tim Foley

While trekking through the wasteland, Rose and her new friend Danni happen upon a community that has made peace with the Anti-Life.  However, it isn’t long before they start to discover the group’s secrets and what price this bargain has come with.

The Good Samaritan by Helen Goldwyn

To repair her Dimension Cannon, Rose goes in search of the last outpost with any kind of technology but this haven hides a more desperate situation.  With the Anti-Life closing in, can Rose get her Dimension Cannon working again?

Producer Emily Cook said: “As is always the case with Big Finish productions, it was a joy to work on this box set. It’s a great privilege to be creating stories which edge Rose ever closer to the events of Turn Left and The Stolen Earth (TV stories I adore).  It was interesting, too, to see how far we could push Rose as a character by placing her on an Earth where she’s totally alone. That said, she meets Danni and forms a bond with them – that was a wonderful relationship to explore and is essentially the heart of the series. We also play with some brilliant sci-fi ideas including entropy and Anti-Life.”
