Call of Duty: Modern Warfare trailer and release date revealed

May 30, 2019 by Andrew Newton

Activision has officially announced the next game in the Call of Duty franchise, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, and what’s more is that they’ve also revealed that the game will launch on October 25th.  The announcement of this next installment in the Modern Warfare series has been accompanied by a brand new trailer which can be seen below…

Unlike Black Ops 4, Activision will be ensuring a return to a single player campaign and going by the excellent new trailer, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’s is going to be epic.  Starting off with Captain Price, the trailer shares some of the locations that are likely to be seen in the campaign.  The parts that particularly stand out are the night vision scenes, it’s no surprise these scenes look so realistic considering that the game utilises a brand new purpose built engine that ensures everything is as detailed as possible.

With Modern Warfare it appears that Activision are moving away from the traditional season pass model in favour of other post launch content that doesn’t split the playerbase.  There are also reports that this reimagining of the iconic Modern Warfare series will feature cross-play support for PC and consoles.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare arrives on 25th October.
