Charlie Barnett to play John Diggle Jr. in Arrow’s final season

With the eighth and final season of Arrow fast approaching, it has been announced that Russian Doll actor Charlie Barnett has joined the DC superhero show in the series regular role of John Diggle Jr., the future adult son of John Diggle (David Ramsey) and Lyla Michaels (Audrey Marie Anderson).

Appearing in the future-set flashfowards introduced in the seventh season, Diggle Jr. – a.k.a. J.J. – will be introduced as the leader of the Deathstroke Gang, where he will face off against Mia Smoak (Katherine McNamara) and his adoptive brother Connor Hawke (Joseph David-Jones).

Arrow is set to return to The CW for its shortened eighth and final season from October 15th.
