It has been mooted for a few years now, but it now appears that Chris Hemsworth is finally set to return as Tyler Rake in another action-packed installment of Netflix’s Extraction franchise.
Per the streaming service’s Tudum website, Extraction 3 is set for a summer shoot, with Chris Hemsworth, Idris Elba, and Golshifteh Farahani all reprising their roles from the previous film, and director Sam Hargrave once again wielding the megaphone.
Based on the graphic novel Ciudad, by Ande Parks, the franchise originated from a story by Parks and the Russo brothers. The first film, released during the pandemic in 2020, and the 2023 sequel, both hit No. 1 on the Global Top 10, with Extraction 2 surpassing the original’s streaming numbers.
Details of Hemsworth’s latest mission remain redacted, but you can expect another globe-trotting adventure featuring bone-crunching action orchestrated by stuntman-turned-director Hargrave.
