Closed Beta for Monster Train now underway

February 27, 2020 by Andrew Newton

Good Shepherd Entertainment and indie developer Shiny Shoe have announced that the closed Beta of their strategic roguelike deck-building game, Monster Train, is now live and will run until 19th March.

In Monster Train the realm of Hell has been frozen over and all that’s left is one last pyre.  The forces of Heaven are going all out to extinguish this final flame and prevent it from reigniting the fires of Hell once more and it will be up to players to stop them.

Players will build a deck of spells and minions from over 200 cards spread over five clans and will need to position their champions strategically aboard the train. Unlike other roguelike deck-builders Monster Train adds an extra strategic element by requiring players to defend three vertical play fields at once.

The game will feature a unique time-based online multiplayer mode called ‘Hell Rush’, which will let up to eight players compete against one another in time-based challenges.  Plus there’s the ability to create custom challenges and share them with other players around the world.

Join in the closed Beta by clicking the link here and look out for the game’s full release on PC in Q2 2020.
